We're well into Autumn and cold weather, my heart will sink a step deeper once we move to Winter saving time this weekend! I've to acknowledge winter is a great time, without winter we wouldn't be able to snuggle on the sofa in front of the fireplace with a nice and very sweet hot chocolate; or walk in the snow on a cold crisp morning, enjoying the sunshine. I do enjoy Autumn and Winter a lot even more so Christmas time with all the beautiful lights in town and markets. Knowing myself, I would be okay with a just a few days of cold, rain and hibernating weather, though. After a few months, I usually get fed up with the lack of daylight and feeling constantly cold. This year I will be looking to escape to milder places just to rekindle my energy and vitamins D3 levels. I don't know about you, I love the sunshine, constant grey and flat ceiling weight me down, instead of planning a ski holiday, I will plan a trip to the sun. Here are some ideas where to escape to: Morocco: you don't have to go to extreme and travel to intense heat, Morocco is such a colourful place. I've never been to Morocco I've got these fantastic images straight out of the movie "Hideous Kinky" that come to mind or the amazing Yves Saint Laurent Villa in Marrakech. With a constant temperature of about 20 degrees, you might be able to bath and surf in a wetsuit at places like Agadir. Ibiza: With 7 hours of sunshine on average during winter time, it might be the perfect time to book that Yoga retreat, with a temperature at 14C on average you won't overheat, you will be able to bath in the sunshine from morning till afternoon and come back home with a beautiful glow. Another place to explore is Costa Rica, ranking the top of happy index planet, planning to be carbon neutral in 2021, the best coffee in the world; the list of reasons to escape winter to Costa Rica should have you running to your travel agent and ask when is the next plane to San Jose. It seems to be the perfect winter adventure escape to come back with refuelled energy and great vibes to make the second half of the winter in the UK. Where are you planning to escape this Winter? PS. Just in case you're planning a winter escape to the sun, don't forget that we stock summer dresses all year round.
